  1. What sort of star system do you have going? Four out of four? Out of five? I'm surprised you saw Dallas Buyers Club -- we walked past the poster multiple times on our way to Naro and you didn't mention it. I'd like to see it at some point, most likely not in theaters though.

    1. Four star system. Five stars are for people who can't decide. And I went to see DBC last Friday night, after my meltdown. It was all that was playing at the Naro - it wouldn't have been my first preference, but it was live, and there were people, and all in all it was a good time. It was a very main-character-with-larger-than-life-personality driven, and the supporting cast were just cliches, and I've NEVER liked Jennifer Garner, but it did get my mind off of my troubles. It did open my eyes to some issues with the FDA and AIDS medication. But I don't know if I'd recommend it, what with all the really good film there is to watch out there, who can spare two hours (unless they're totally, utterly, piteously desperate, as I was!).

  2. Hey now, for the record I did not recommend Captain Phillips, I simply referred to it in passing in conjunction with A Hijacking. I want my recommendations to be taken seriously and if I'm tossing out Tom Hanks movie suggestions like so many coins in my pocket, my perceived opinion could be in serious jeopardy. With THAT said, I hear the new hunger game is preeeetty fabulous....

    1. I know you were being ironic. But actually I would've seen it anyway, given that it's the only movie at the Naro that I could get my little lunch group to go to see. With that said, yes, the new hunger games is pretty fabulous. Expect a post soon!
